We do not have cell reception on site and our wifi is not available to the public or lodging guests. Our satellite internet provider limits us to only 15GB every 30 days and we need every byte to keep our webcams, email and POS system operating. There are locations within in a short drive to obtain cell reception and our lodge phone is available at an additional charge.Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09711377226049193962noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4937849726909626048.post-48822253080663147402015-05-22T07:14:00.004-04:002015-05-22T07:14:52.426-04:00Finally, the new webcams have been installed! We closed yesterday after completing a very busy lunch service. This makes #8 for Mike & I and we appreciate your continued patronage.

Depending on "ice-out" our plan is to re-open around May 10th for spring fishing season. Until then we have some projects to accomplish and fit in a little R&R in a warmer climate for a few days.

We are of course accepting reservations for the upcoming seasons. Many of our fishing dates are already full, but send along an email or give us a call if you are planning a trip.Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09711377226049193962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4937849726909626048.post-5539586779461364362015-01-26T07:44:00.002-05:002015-01-26T07:44:20.732-05:0014.4 degrees BELOW zero here at camp this morning. Our first three sleds arrived today via ITS 84 from Oquossoc (I'm not counting the 5 sleds that came through on Monday afternoon and rode across the lake - HELLO, NOT safe on lakes yet!).

They filled their bellies with Mountain Burgers, fries and Grilled Chicken Sandwich with onion rings. After an enjoyable lunch, they topped off their sleds with fuel and headed for home. Their trail report was very positive. Just a few wet spots, but in really good condition.

It's still snowing here and we have about 15-18 inches on the ground. Let's hope these early season conditions take hold and we build a good base for a great 2014/2015 season.

Mike and John are out in Bosebuck Mountain Rider's groomer as I write this post, packing the trail and putting up signs. All trails should be ready for the upcoming weekend.

Opening Day of the 2014 Bear Hunting Season.

Also, since the Fall fishermen will soon be invading camp, our breakfast hours have been changed to accommodate their need to get on the water early in the day. We will be now serving Breakfast from 6:00AM to 8:00AM until the deer hunters arrive. Of course they like to eat when it's still dark under the table so we'll put the coffee on even earlier for them when they arrive in November.Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09711377226049193962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4937849726909626048.post-50906180737186098092014-06-15T11:21:00.001-04:002014-06-15T11:21:33.530-04:00First of all - Happy Father's Day

Secondly, just wanted to let you all know that due to the very cold, and what seemed like a never ending winter followed by a spring that didn't have much sun, the fishing season has just now started to really come on. The recent rain has increased water levels in the rivers and the salmon are taking full advantage. The lake fishing has been, and continues to be fantastic.

We do have some limited availability from now to the end of the month. So if you are looking to sneak in a quick trip to wet a line, give me a call.

The deep snow has really pushed them out onto the trails. Best thing is just to give them some space and in most cases they'll go off on their own. Those critters are having a hard enough winter and certainly don't need to be pushed by impatient snowmobilers.Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09711377226049193962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4937849726909626048.post-82136125664190672932014-03-20T12:10:00.003-04:002014-03-20T12:10:57.054-04:00So much for the first day of Spring. We received 10 inches of snow last night and into this morning. Mike has been out in plow truck and Ben on the end of the shovel. This should keep the trails in mighty fine shape at least until the end of March.
We have snow everywhere! Depending on where you measure, this storm dumped 16 to 20 inches of the white stuff. All trails have been groomed so load up the sleds and head north.Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09711377226049193962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4937849726909626048.post-18681929738797654572014-02-11T10:11:00.001-05:002014-02-11T10:11:16.669-05:00No picture required today - simply put, the trails are in GREAT condition! Reports from the trail are all very positive; "best conditions of the season", "sooth & fast", "groomer operators are doing a fantastic job". Enough said?, where is your sled?Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09711377226049193962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4937849726909626048.post-70984345178890512572014-02-06T07:38:00.000-05:002014-02-06T07:38:29.442-05:00What a difference a day can make! 8 inches of fresh snow to ride. That's right, 8 inches and the groomer was out yesterday and will be heading out again tonight. FYI - The trail around Paramachenee Lake is open and groomed so come and enjoy.Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09711377226049193962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4937849726909626048.post-34597317610100843542014-01-26T07:29:00.001-05:002014-01-26T07:29:05.319-05:00We have been very busy this Friday and Saturday with all the traffic heading to and from Snodeo in Rangeley. We hope they had a great turn-out for all the activities planned.

The three inches of fresh snow yesterday was a welcome sight and the Bosebuck Mountain Riders groomer completed it's appointted rounds last night returning to camp about 12:15 AM.

It appears that our winter season is well underway with cold temps accompanied by snow showers for the next 10 days or so.Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09711377226049193962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4937849726909626048.post-35209711282177505652014-01-21T14:57:00.002-05:002014-01-21T14:57:40.974-05:00Bosebuck Mountain Riders' groomer was out on the trail yesterday doing their part of ITS 84 - the trail from Bosebuck Mountain Camps out to the NH border and around to the east side of Aziscohos Lake to the rendezvous point with the Rangeley groomer. RLSC's groomer was out yesterday as well so all trails are in tip top shape.
Do not adjust your screen, that is real snow you see falling in this photo. Although we didn't receive more than a dusting from yesterday's predicted snowfall, it's been snowing all morning. At this pace we should have a couple inches on the ground in an hour or so. We served over one hundred people for lunch yesterday and all were pleasantly surprised with how good the trail conditions were. Things are looking up for Snodeo in Rangeley this weekend.Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09711377226049193962noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4937849726909626048.post-47693782819248140132014-01-16T12:48:00.001-05:002014-01-16T12:48:34.527-05:00The two most important words we speak this time of year - It's Snowing! I am happy to report that is exactly what's happening here right now.

It's just starting to accumulate and the ice is covered. Let's hope it keeps on coming. We have two big weekends on the schedule, Snodeo In Rangeley beginning on Thursday, January 23rd and running through Sunday the 26th followed by the Reciprocal Weekend on Friday, January 31 through Sunday, February 2nd.Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09711377226049193962noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4937849726909626048.post-56474293869813140392014-01-12T09:08:00.002-05:002014-01-12T09:08:30.501-05:00s hoping to tell you all that we received 6 inches of snow but yesterday's weather was rain, all rain, nothing but rain. The lake is clear ice so I guess, strap on your skates and let the hockey tourney begin!

Thankfully it's snowing now and the temperature is dropping below 32 degrees. Trails should freeze up in good shape and get us back on track for some great riding.Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09711377226049193962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4937849726909626048.post-33199371947606563502013-12-27T08:21:00.002-05:002013-12-27T08:21:39.245-05:00Trail conditions are improving but a good distance from great. We did receive significant icing from the recent storm which in the long run has set a good base but makes it very difficult to navigate currently. We did receive two inches of fresh snow yesterday which is a start and it's still snowing this morning. Bosebuck Mountain Riders groomer was out on the trail yesterday, removing downed trees from the trail and grooming this side of ITS84 and up to the NH connector.
