If you have visited our website recently you may have noticed that lodging rates have increased slightly to help offset increasing operating costs. However, if you confirm a 2016 reservation by making your 50% deposit prior to 12/31/2015, we will hold to the 2015 rate structure. So give us a call today to secure your reservation for 2016 and enjoy the savings.

If you frequent our web cameras and find that the pictures are not changing or the page does not load, our Internet Service Provider (ISP) changed servers so if you had our website as a "saved page" in your browser you need to delete the saved address, retype www.Bosebuck.com and re-save.

Just a friendly reminder to please arrive at camp prepared to be "unplugged".  We do not have cell reception on site and our wifi is not available to the public or lodging guests.  Our satellite internet provider limits us to only 15GB every 30 days and we need every byte to keep our webcams, email and POS system operating. There are locations within in a short drive to obtain cell reception and our lodge phone is available at an additional charge.

Finally, the new webcams have been installed! Thanks Greg. Now I'm just going to sit back and wait to hear all the positive feedback.  If you will need to delete your previous "saved" URL &/or link and re-save to reach the new images.

Although the dining room is closed, should you find yourself enjoying the trails this weekend on this side of the lake, we still have gasoline for sale.  4 below zero yesterday, and snow in the forecast for the next few days.  Winter just doesn't want to let go

Monday, March 30, 2015

THANK YOU to all who stopped by this winter season.  We closed yesterday after completing a very busy lunch service. This makes #8 for Mike & I and we appreciate your continued patronage.

Depending on "ice-out" our plan is to re-open around May 10th for spring fishing season.  Until then we have some projects to accomplish and fit in a little R&R in a warmer climate for a few days.

We are of course accepting reservations for the upcoming seasons.  Many of our fishing dates are already full, but send along an email or give us a call if you are planning a trip.

14.4 degrees BELOW zero here at camp this morning. We are going to believe the upcoming weather forecast and ready the shovels, snow blower, plow truck and most importantly the groomer. Let the snow come!

We are fully booked for this coming weekend (Reciprocal with Maine/New Hampshire/Vermont) so the fresh snow will be a welcome sight.

The dining room, as always, will be open for

Breakfast from 7:00AM to 9:30AM;

Lunch from 11:00AM to 3:00PM and

Dinner by advance reservation only is served at 6:00PM.

Although we do try to accommodate late arrivals, we can't always offer the full menu. We operate with a very small staff that work very hard to transition from one mealtime to the next on a very tight schedule coupled with serving the needs of our lodging guests.

4 to 5 inches of fresh snow arrived overnight accompanied by sub-zero temperatures. The sun is shining now so its shaping up to be a perfect day to ride. If your schedule allows, you should try mid-week riding to avoid the crowds.

Our first three sleds arrived today via ITS 84 from Oquossoc (I'm not counting the 5 sleds that came through on Monday afternoon and rode across the lake - HELLO, NOT safe on lakes yet!).

They filled their bellies with Mountain Burgers, fries and Grilled Chicken Sandwich with onion rings. After an enjoyable lunch, they topped off their sleds with fuel and headed for home. Their trail report was very positive. Just a few wet spots, but in really good condition.

It's still snowing here and we have about 15-18 inches on the ground. Let's hope these early season conditions take hold and we build a good base for a great 2014/2015 season.

Mike and John are out in Bosebuck Mountain Rider's groomer as I write this post, packing the trail and putting up signs. All trails should be ready for the upcoming weekend.

The calendar may indicate that its still Fall, but winter has definitely arrived here at Bosebuck Mountain Camps. We have four inches of snow on the ground and its still snowing this morning. The lake is nearly frozen all the way across and hopefully the temps will remain cold.

Congratulations Bill!  He took this moose this morning about an hour into the season.  It took four guys and four hours to get him into the trailer but they are on their way now to the registration station and onto the butcher.

Opening Day of the 2014 Bear Hunting Season.

Also, since the Fall fishermen will soon be invading camp, our breakfast hours have been changed to accommodate their need to get on the water early in the day.  We will be now serving Breakfast from 6:00AM to 8:00AM until the deer hunters arrive.  Of course they like to eat when it's still dark under the table so we'll put the coffee on even earlier for them when they arrive in November.

First of all - Happy Father's Day

Secondly, just wanted to let you all know that due to the very cold, and what seemed like a never ending winter followed by a spring that didn't have much sun, the fishing season has just now started to really come on.  The recent rain has increased water levels in the rivers and the salmon are taking full advantage.  The lake fishing has been, and continues to be fantastic.

We do have some limited availability from now to the end of the month.  So if you are looking to sneak in a quick trip to wet a line, give me a call.

The docks are in and we have open water here in front of camp but the entire lake is NOT free of ice just yet. Parmachenee Road is open and fairly dry but several culverts have dropped so it's slow travel. Plan on an hour to reach camp. You will need a vehicle with ground clearance, but 4 wheel drive is not necessary.

We are now open and our first fishermen will be arriving any time now. Time to wet a line!

Just a friendly reminder for people to be aware of moose and deer in the trails.  The deep snow has really pushed them out onto the trails.  Best thing is just to give them some space and in most cases they'll go off on their own.  Those critters are having a hard enough winter and certainly don't need to be pushed by impatient snowmobilers.

Thursday, March 20, 2014

So much for the first day of Spring.  We received 10 inches of snow last night and into this morning.  Mike has been out in plow truck and Ben on the end of the shovel.  This should keep the trails in mighty fine shape at least until the end of March.

We will be closing the dining room for the winter season at the end of day on March 30th.  If we don't see you before then, see you next winter and thank you for your patronage.

Friday, March 14, 2014

We have snow everywhere!  Depending on where you measure, this storm dumped 16 to 20 inches of the white stuff.  All trails have been groomed so load up the sleds and head north.

Tuesday, February 11, 2014

No picture required today - simply put, the trails are in GREAT condition!  Reports from the trail are all very positive; "best conditions of the season", "sooth & fast", "groomer operators are doing a fantastic job".  Enough said?, where is your sled?

Thursday, February 6, 2014

What a difference a day can make!  8 inches of fresh snow to ride.  That's right, 8 inches and the groomer was out yesterday and will be heading out again tonight.  FYI - The trail around Paramachenee Lake is open and groomed so come and enjoy.

Sunday, January 26, 2014

We have been very busy this Friday and Saturday with all the traffic heading to and from Snodeo in Rangeley.   We hope they had a great turn-out for all the activities planned.

The three inches of fresh snow yesterday was a welcome sight and the Bosebuck Mountain Riders groomer completed it's appointted rounds last night returning to camp about 12:15 AM.

It appears that our winter season is well underway with cold temps accompanied by snow showers for the next 10 days or so.
