And this is how it's done - four guys, three dogs and good shooting.
Dallas, Mike, Allen & Junior drove all the way from Ohio to shoot birds in the western mountains of Maine and they have met their objective. I snapped this picture on Monday when they returned from their first day in the woods.

Congratulations to Ray and Tony on their successful moose hunt here at Bosebuck Mountain Camps. They decided to pass on the moose Mike called right into them on Monday morning, opting to hold out and enjoy the hunt the a little longer. This guy was taken on Friday morning and the butcher said he should be great eating. Enjoy guys and see you for the Fall fish run in 2014.

Hello! Finally after replacing my PC (hard drive crash) and recovering what info we could (THANKS Greg) I am back online. To those of you who have been checking back and found disappointment at the lack of updates, my apologies. Here's some of what you missed;
Travis took this beautiful Maine Black bear that dressed out at 330 pounds. Congratulations!

Of course grouse season is well underway and we just completed a successful Moose hunt. Pictures and details to follow.
Deer season availability is fulling quickly, so if you are looking for a place to hunt, give me a call to see what we might have available.

This year Bill Hanson and his crew banded two eagles from the nest across the lake from camp. We had several families in camp at the time and even our grand-daughter, Loralie was visiting so she was able to hold the banded chick.
It seems like it rained the entire month of June and July has not been much drier. Our front lawn and parking area is non-existent as we are currently experiencing water levels that are typical in early spring with snow melt. On the up side of all this rain, the fishing has been terrific so no complaints from the fishermen (except the man eating bugs).
We have beautiful sunshine today just in time for all our summer families to start arriving for their annual vacations.

Yes this picture is accurate. Yes, it's still raining and yes, the extended forecast is about the same. I've heard rumors the extended forecast may have a day or two of sunshine so we'll see. No matter, the fishing action on the lake has been great and although some areas in the upper river have seen some high water, conditions change quickly and the fish are biting.
Now that the kids are getting out of school it's time to plan that summer get away. We do have some limited availability for our Summer Rate Special beginning on July 1st and running through the 18th of August. Check your calendar and give me a call.
