It's not enough snow to sled just yet, but it's perfect conditions for deer hunting.  We have just over an inch or so on the ground and it's still coming down.  It's soft, not crunchy, so the woods are quite.  Where's your deer rifle?  Pack your gear, give me a call and head on up to camp.

We have registered 17 deer so far this season, all great looking bucks.  I do have lodging available this week, but not next so call today.

Mike took this 206 pound, 8 point buck this morning.  Now he's stuck at camp and Jerry has headed back out to woods to bring in his own.

It's opening day of rifle season for Maine Resident deer hunters.  Good luck and remember that Bosebuck Mountain Camps is a Maine big game (other than moose) registration station.  We are open for tagging from 7AM to 7PM and have certified scales to weigh that big buck.

Dallas, Mike, Allen & Junior drove all the way from Ohio to shoot birds in the western mountains of Maine and they have met their objective.  I snapped this picture on Monday when they returned from their first day in the woods.

Congratulations to Ray and Tony on their successful moose hunt here at Bosebuck Mountain Camps. They decided to pass on the moose Mike called right into them on Monday morning, opting to hold out and enjoy the hunt the a little longer. This guy was taken on Friday morning and the butcher said he should be great eating. Enjoy guys and see you for the Fall fish run in 2014.

Hello!  Finally after replacing my PC (hard drive crash) and recovering what info we could (THANKS Greg) I am back online.  To those of you who have been checking back and found disappointment at the lack of updates, my apologies.  Here's some of what you missed;

Travis took this beautiful Maine Black bear that dressed out at 330 pounds.  Congratulations!

Rob also enjoyed a successful hunt and took home this nice bore.

and Randy left for home with this guy.  All in all, the 2013 bear season was a success.

Of course grouse season is well underway and we just completed a successful Moose hunt.  Pictures and details to follow.
