We have been very busy this Friday and Saturday with all the traffic heading to and from Snodeo in Rangeley. We hope they had a great turn-out for all the activities planned.
The three inches of fresh snow yesterday was a welcome sight and the Bosebuck Mountain Riders groomer completed it's appointted rounds last night returning to camp about 12:15 AM.
It appears that our winter season is well underway with cold temps accompanied by snow showers for the next 10 days or so.

Bosebuck Mountain Riders' groomer was out on the trail yesterday doing their part of ITS 84 - the trail from Bosebuck Mountain Camps out to the NH border and around to the east side of Aziscohos Lake to the rendezvous point with the Rangeley groomer. RLSC's groomer was out yesterday as well so all trails are in tip top shape.

Do not adjust your screen, that is real snow you see falling in this photo. Although we didn't receive more than a dusting from yesterday's predicted snowfall, it's been snowing all morning. At this pace we should have a couple inches on the ground in an hour or so. We served over one hundred people for lunch yesterday and all were pleasantly surprised with how good the trail conditions were. Things are looking up for Snodeo in Rangeley this weekend.

The two most important words we speak this time of year - It's Snowing! I am happy to report that is exactly what's happening here right now.
It's just starting to accumulate and the ice is covered. Let's hope it keeps on coming. We have two big weekends on the schedule, Snodeo In Rangeley beginning on Thursday, January 23rd and running through Sunday the 26th followed by the Reciprocal Weekend on Friday, January 31 through Sunday, February 2nd.

s hoping to tell you all that we received 6 inches of snow but yesterday's weather was rain, all rain, nothing but rain. The lake is clear ice so I guess, strap on your skates and let the hockey tourney begin!
Thankfully it's snowing now and the temperature is dropping below 32 degrees. Trails should freeze up in good shape and get us back on track for some great riding.

Trail conditions are improving but a good distance from great. We did receive significant icing from the recent storm which in the long run has set a good base but makes it very difficult to navigate currently. We did receive two inches of fresh snow yesterday which is a start and it's still snowing this morning. Bosebuck Mountain Riders groomer was out on the trail yesterday, removing downed trees from the trail and grooming this side of ITS84 and up to the NH connector.

News Flash - It' snowing here at Bosebuck Mountain Camps and the trails are OPEN. Maine trails have not been groomed as the snow received to date is light, fluffy and not enough volume just yet. Some trails have been packed, but you should travel cautiously as some areas have very little snow.
We still have active logging operations near camp, specifically on Tractor Job Road, and Parmachenee Road, north of Bosebuck is plowed. Please travel with caution in these areas.
Our dining room is OPEN, serving breakfast from 7 AM to 9:30 AM and lunch from 11 AM to 3 PM.
