Brrrrr... at 6:30 this morning the thermometer was screaming 17.3 degrees below zero. Thankfully just before sunrise is typically the coldest part of the day. The sun is just now peaking out over Green Top and the temp has climbed to negative 15. Not to worry, the forecast is calling for a warming trend with temps at or just above 30 for the next few days. We also should have some light snow showers through-out the day tomorrow.

More good news, the groomer from Oquossoc has been repaired and should begin their regular schedule of grooming ITS 84 to the NH boarder and Bosebuck on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday nights. They also groomed a small spur down to the old boat launch on the opposite shore from Bosebuck for those sledders who wish to avoid the shared trail on Parmachenee Road. However, please keep in mind that at this end of the lake there is always moving water where the Big & Little Magalloway Rivers enter Aziscohos so keep an eye on the ice to be sure it is safe to cross. All reports from the trails in the last two days have been nothing but positive feedback,so load up he sled and head to Camp.

I am pleased to announce that Bosebuck Mountain Camps will be hosting the Maine chapter of Casting for Recovery (a two-day Fly Fishing retreat for women who have or have had breast cancer) this August. Their primary fundraising event, Fishtails and Cocktails, is being held this Saturday, January 16th at the Sugarloaf Hotel, Please contact Bonnie Holding at Goldsmith Gallery (207) 237-2405 for more information about this event. Additional information about the non-profit program can be found at their website: http://www.castingforrecovery.org/
